New or Returning Clients

If you are a returning client, please keep your eye out for upcoming registration info via email. If you need to update contact information or financial needs; please contact us directly so we can assist you.

If you are new to PTBM, please refer to the list below and follow all the steps in order to complete registration.

Please note, to attend programs at Place To Be Me, clients must have an official diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) such as Autism, Down Syndrome, or Cerebral Palsy provided by a practicing physician or psychiatrist.

Please also note that a standalone ADHD diagnosis does not meet the eligibility requirements for participation in Place To Be Me programs.

If you have any questions about eligibility or documentation, we are happy to help guide you through the process.

  1. Submit a completed new client registration.
  2. Determine level of support needed: clients will need to have the ability to participate in a group setting, typically a 4:1 participant to staff/volunteer ratio. Keep in mind that PTBM does not offer 1:1 care. If your child requires 1:1 care, we will require them to attend with a parent/caregiver.
  3. Have a family interview (if needed).
  4. Plan for accommodations or referrals.
  5. Financial assistance available, please see form below.

PTBM Programs

Our programs run Monday and Wednesday evenings from September through May, with occasional Saturday sessions and special family events throughout the year.

We design our activities to be engaging, educational, and fun, offering a variety of experiences to keep participants interested and excited. Whether we’re hosting activities on-site at our facility or out in the community, our goal is to support social, emotional, and personal growth for individuals with special needs through every interaction.

Each session is thoughtfully planned to provide meaningful opportunities for learning, socializing, and building confidence; all in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Summer Day Camp

Our Summer Day Camp provides participants with the opportunity to enjoy fun, engaging activities alongside their friends in a supportive environment. Campers ages 6 and older are welcome to join us for an exciting summer filled with creativity, recreation, and friendship! With at least a 4:1 camper to staff ratio, our camp provides a full camp experience with personalized care.  Look for registration in early Spring.

Throughout the year Place to Be Me will be hosting 4 Parent Resource Nights. This community event is designed to connect parents and caregivers of children/adults with special needs to valuable resources, expert guidance, and peer support. We offer a welcoming space for caregivers to gain knowledge, ask questions, and build connections that support their child’s unique journey.
