This position is for our School Year programs that are held September through May on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 5:30p – 7:30p; with some additional programs and also time changes based on the program. Starting at $15/hr.
- Work with other staff members in implementing curriculum plan for activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program procedures
- Supervise, monitor, care, and manage clientele of diverse ages, cultures and developmental levels, individually and as a group
- Assist in the maintenance of an attractive, clean, creative, and functional learning environment which may include set up prior to and clean up after a program event
- Ensure that the environment allows each client to have a positive experience
- Engage all clientele in activities to provide the opportunity for each individual to reach their potential . Modify activities as needed to support various learners.
- Be able to respond quickly using common sense based on the current needs of the clients and overall group.
- Assist and react to potentially frustrating behaviors from a variety of clients
- Promote positive, nurturing and caring interactions with each participant by:
- Modeling respect and responding to needs in a caring way
- Interacting directly and lovingly with all participants
- Keep all appropriate records such as attendance, time cards, and measurement tools accurately
- Maintain the confidentiality of information on each client, family and staff member, during and outside of program hours
- Be familiar with and adhere to the program’s policies, health and safety regulations and emergency procedures and be ready to implement them if necessary
- Bring any concerns, feedback, or suggestions to the Program Director in a timely manner
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
- Must hold a high school diploma or GED.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively
- Must be physically, mentally and occupationally capable of performing the position’s responsibilities that include being able to:
- Reach a client 25′ away in 30 seconds without danger to own health
- Hear a client call out from 50′ away
- Comprehend and react to dangerous situations involving clientele without hesitation
- Have the visual acuity to see and supervise clientele from a distance of at least 50′
- Have the physical ability to support clientele when needed for safety up to 200 lbs
- Be physically able to crouch, kneel, bend and sit on the floor to attend to client needs
- Provide information required to conduct a criminal records history check
This position is for our annual Summer Day Camp held June 15- July 23th, 2026 8:00a – 3:30p, Monday – Thursday with the week of July 4th off. Orientation and Training will be held one week prior to camp. $15/hr.
- Reports to the program director.
- Meets with the program director at 8:10am every morning.
- Run designated group meetings every morning at 8:30.
- Leads program staff and clients in designated groups.
- Keeps the group on the schedule.
- Sets up for activities and helps delegate tasks to staff.
- Helps cover breaks for staff.
- Initiate times throughout the day to see if anyone needs a break or to use the restroom.
- Check clients in and out each day.
- Plan filler activities for your group when nothing is on schedule.
- Have your walkies on you at all times for communication.
- Assist in overseeing end of day chores
