There are so many ways to get involved with the Place To Be Me. Whether you assist during Place to Be Me programs or volunteer behind the scenes, you will make a tremendous difference in the life of an individual with special needs.

Place to Be Me Programs – School Year

Volunteers assist with program preparation and provide one-on-one attention to individuals with disabilities in various programs like art, music, cooking and fitness.

Summer Day Camp Program

Volunteers can help by leading a program or coming in to befriend  our awesome clients. Summer camp is held Monday – Thursday from 9am – 3pm, with a week off for the 4th of July. Summer camp includes field trips to various locations, like Potawatomi zoo and the Air Zoo. Depending on your schedule, you can spend a few hours with us or the entire day.

Parties, Dances, Family Events & Program Activities

Join the program committee and help plan parties, dances, art classes, community outings, family events and other program activities.

Committees and Board of Directors

If you are ready to share your financial management skills; communication skills; team management skills; creativity; branding skills and/or fundraising skills, we have a spot for you!

Special Projects

There are opportunities for clubs, dorms, and other small groups to volunteer for a one-time project. Contact the office to determine the best fit for your group.

High School & College Volunteers

Whether you want to volunteer as a group, club or team or prefer to volunteer on your own, Place To Be Me has many ways for you to get involved. Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, give of your time and energy while having fun.
